  • We believe in teaching the whole child, and that all parts of development are intricately intertwined.

  • We believe in meeting and appreciating each child right where they are.

Q: When and where are class meetings?

A: Class meetings vary.  Online classes meet 1-3 times weekly.  In-person classes are offered on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

We are in the process of working to get funding for our first co-learning space! This space will offer open hours for exploration learning, as well as classes.  Please check back frequently for updates about this amazing project!

Q: What supplies/curriculum are needed for classes?

A: At Arrows Learning Academy, we have found there is not only one curriculum that fits every student's needs. We choose to use a mixture of curriculums and resources to aid in teaching different learning styles, interests, and preferences.* Some materials are even customized for our students' needs!

Materials are provided for in-person classes. In some instances, students may be asked to use items commonly found around the home, and a notice will go out to families prior.

Virtual learning families are encouraged to have access to a printer.

*Curriculum sources include but are not limited to: Handwriting Without Tears, Orton-Gillingham, Montessori, and Conscious Discipline.

Q: My child is very social; will they have time to build relationships with peers?

A: A unique characteristic of the Arrows Learning Academy approach is how we provide space for relationships to form. While class time is for learning, there are many opportunities for students to interact with their peers. Families are also encouraged to build community with one another outside of the classroom. Our staff is eager to support students outside of Arrows and enjoy attending students' special events. It takes a village, and we believe ours is the best!

Q: What is the homeschooling family's expected time commitment outside of class hours?

A: Some of our families are considered homeschoolers and must be familiar with their state laws and requirements for learners.
We do not register any students as homeschoolers with the state, as this is the responsibility of the family.

Because students are not in class 5 days a week, families are expected to provide support for their child outside of the classroom hours. Families may choose to use materials provided by Arrows Learning Academy or other learning opportunities to support learning experiences. This will help to ensure your student receives the minimum number of required days for schooling in your state.

Q: How much is tuition at Arrows Learning Academy?

A: We maintain affordable rates because we believe quality education should be accessible to all. To help with budgeting, we also offer a monthly tuition payment option. Families with multiple children enrolled may qualify for a sibling discount.

Any family experiencing a true financial need should contact us to schedule a discussion regarding scholarships and potential financial assistance.

Q: Why do rates for classes and services vary?

A: Arrows Learning Academy has received grants, donations, and sponsorships for select services. As a result, those services are offered at a lower cost.
